At 22:31 on Wednesday, 20 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Late Fire Call in Clun.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Clun.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Buckets of water
• Small gear

Report of smoke within property following the lighting of a log burner. Crews inspected the property with one multi fuel range cooker causing smoke into rooms due to operational error of cooker. Crews used buckets of water and locker gear to remove hot embers. One new smoke alarm has been fitted within the property.
