At 03:00 on Thursday, 21 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance including the Incident Support Unit was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Axes/Hammers/Crowbars/Croppers
• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

One large tree on fire, crews used two hose reel jets, a thermal imaging camera and an axe to extinguish.
