At 07:35 on Thursday, 21 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Oswestry.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Ellesmere. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Dry powder extinguisher
• Thermal imaging camera

Fire involving hopper. One paper bale removed from machine. Crews damped down.
