At 08:04 on Thursday, 21 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Shrewsbury.

3 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit and the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Wellington and Wem. An Operations officer was in attendance.

One cow rescued from ditch using animal rescue equipment.
