At 11:31 on Sunday, 24 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Burwarton.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Ludlow and Tweedale.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Knapsacks
• Shovels/Forks/Brooms

Fire involving grass and gorse roughly 4m x 4m.
