At 09:24 on Tuesday, 26 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Minsterley and Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Knapsacks
• Thermal imaging camera

Small fire in undergrowth. Extinguished using knapsack sprayer. Thermal imaging camera used and no further hot spots found at this time.
