At 11:17 on Saturday, 30 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Tweedale.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Buckets of water

Small area of undergrowth smouldering. Extinguished using buckets of water and utilising equipment off incident support unit.
