At 10:55 on Friday, 5 September, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire in Wem.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Prees.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Small fire involving refuse lorry. Fire crews used 1 hose reel jet and 1 thermal image camera.
