At 12:56 on Saturday, 6 September, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Tweedale.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Thermal imaging camera

Reports of smell of smoke. This was found to be a false alarm caused by the residual smell from other incident. Thermal imaging camera used to check for hot spots with nothing found.
