At 23:46 on Thursday, 2 October, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury. Operations and Fire Investigation officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

  • Breathing Apparatus (BA)
  • Covering jet
  • Hosereel jet
  • Positive Pressure Ventilation
  • Thermal imaging camera

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

Fire involving second floor bedsit. Crews extinguished fire using 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hosereel jets, 1 covering jet, positive pressure ventilation and thermal imaging camera.
