At 17:33 on Friday, 3 October, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Chimney Fire in Oswestry.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Ellesmere.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Thermal imaging camera

Incident involves one log burner which had been extinguished prior to Fire Service arrival. Crews carried out thorough investigation using thermal imaging camera.
