At 19:10 on Friday, 3 October, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Oswestry.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Ellesmere.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Thermal imaging camera

Fire involving 1 wheelie bin which was out on arrival of crews. Crews carried out thorough investigation using thermal imaging camera and gave advice.
