At 08:47 on Sunday, 30 November, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as AFA in Wem.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Prees.

Also at the scene of the incident were: a utility company.

Report of carbon monoxide detector activating and occupier unable to isolate gas and electrics. Crews assisted with this until a gas engineer attended. No equipment required during this incident.
