At 06:10 on Wednesday, 17 December, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Market Drayton.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Hodnet, Market Drayton and Prees. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Ground monitor
• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Environment Agency.

Fire involving approximately 240 tonnes of shredded waste paper.
