At 05:32 on Friday, 23 January, 2026, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place in Claverley.

3 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Wellington.

Crews used the following equipment to deal with the incident:

• Cutters/Spreaders
• Small gear

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

Incident involving two vehicles in collision in roadway. Driver of one vehicle was trapped and crews extricated via full roof removal, side removal and dashboard roll. Casualty is in care of paramedics and incident has been left with Police. The road has been closed in both directions.
