At 21:10 on Monday, 6 October, 2014, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Kitchen Fire in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

  • Breathing Apparatus (BA)
  • Hosereel jet
  • Main jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service .

Small fire involving an extractor fan in the kitchen area of a domestic property. Crews are using 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet, 1 covering jet and positive pressure ventilation to deal with the fire. Two males have been treated for smoke inhalation as a precaution
