At 20:23 on Wednesday, 8 October, 2014, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Chimney Fire in Whittington.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Oswestry.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

  • Chimney rods
  • Hosereel jet
  • Small gear
  • Thermal imaging camera

Chimney fire involving log burner. Log burner removed by Fire Service Personnel to gain access to chimney breast. Hose reel jet, thermal image camera, chimney rods and small gear in use.
