At 05:51 on Thursday, 16 October, 2014, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Bin Fire in Market Drayton.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Market Drayton.

Crews were called to a bin fire but it turned out to be a false alarm caused by a controlled burn with a responsible person in attendance. Advice given

Build bonfires well clear of buildings and never use flammable liquids to start the fire. Before you light the bonfire, check that children and animals are not hiding inside and are a safe distance away. Don't leave bonfires unattended. Don't light bonfires in unsuitable weather conditions.
