At 09:42 on Sunday, 18 January, 2015, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Newport.

1 fire appliance including the Rescue Tender was mobilised from Newport and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

1 horse released from entrapment inside horse transporter by means of removing animal separation panel using Dewallt saw and small tools.
