At 22:17 on Tuesday, 21 July, 2015, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Shrewsbury.

7 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Baschurch, Shrewsbury and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

One cow was rescued from the river by Fire Service Personnel using specialist animal rescue equipment.
