At 11:13 on Thursday, 31 December, 2015, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire in Telford.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Wellington.

Report of van fire on the road island but the incident was found to be a false alarm caused by steam issuing from the van's blown turbo.
