At 13:34 on Tuesday, 26 January, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Water Rescue in Shrewbury .

4 fire appliances including the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

False alarm good intent, alarm raised following a member of the public seeing an overturned boat on the river. Inspection carried out by Fire Service personnel, nothing found, no further action required.
