At 12:27 on Friday, 11 March, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Water Rescue in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Fire control received a call to a gentleman adrift on the river in a boat suffering engine failure, the gentleman was able to get back to the marina without the assistance of fire service personnel
