At 20:12 on Saturday, 12 March, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Chimney Fire in Gobowen.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Oswestry.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Chimney rods
• Short extension ladder
• Small gear
• Thermal imaging camera

Chimney fire involving an amount of soot and debris which has collected above the register plate in the fireplace within a domestic residential dwelling.
