At 01:00 on Friday, 6 May, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire in Newport.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Newport.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

Saloon vehicle well alight, 2 breathing apparatus and 2 hose reel jets in use.
