At 13:15 on Saturday, 7 May, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Wellington.

3 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Attending crews used the following equipment:

Dog rescued which has fallen approx. 25 feet down into a disused lime kiln, using line safety and a short extension ladder
