At 03:15 on Saturday, 14 May, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place in Newport.

4 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit and the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Newport and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

RTC involving 1 car resting on roof, no persons trapped.
