At 04:46 on Tuesday, 31 May, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shirlett.

4 fire appliances including the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock, Prees and Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Main jet

Fire involving 2 large piles of cut timber approximately 100m x 8m in total size. Three jets, 2 hose reel jets in use.
