At 13:58 on Friday, 3 June, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Shewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Attending crews used the following equipment:

Crews assisted the RSPCA with the rescue of a cat who was stuck approximately 20 feet up a tree since Wednesday. A short extension ladder and a line bag were used and the cat was left in the care of the RSPCA
