At 10:07 on Sunday, 3 July, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Wellington.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Tweedale and Wellington.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Knapsacks

Abandoned campfire extinguished using one knapsack sprayer.
