At 19:45 on Sunday, 3 July, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Animal Rescue in Welshpool.

2 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Assistance to Mid & West Wales Fire Service. 1 horse rescued from pit using Hiab, roof ladder, small gear and short extension ladder.
