At 19:59 on Sunday, 3 July, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire in Newport.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Newport and Tweedale. An Operations officer was in attendance.

1 washing machine in detached property with smoke issuing. No fire. Crews isolated electricity and water and removed washing machine from property.
