At 19:55 on Monday, 8 August, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in West Felton .

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Oswestry.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks

Fire involving approximately 3 tonnes of freshly cut logs and a large amount of rubbish and undergrowth. Crews have been dragging out, turning over and damping down using drag rakes and hose reel jets.
