At 12:37 on Thursday, 18 August, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Hedge Fire in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Wellington.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters
• Hosereel jet
• Knapsacks

Fire involving 60m of stubble and 30m of hedgerow and adjacent field of stubble. Two hose reel jets, knapsack sprayer and beaters used to extinguish.
