At 13:23 on Friday, 26 August, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Pontesbury .

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks

Fire involving hay covering approximately 20m x 3m in field near to A488. Drag rakes and 1 hose reel jet in use to extinguish fire.
