At 17:39 on Saturday, 27 August, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Kitchen Fire in Newport.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Newport and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Fire involving a grill-pan in kitchen of domestic dwelling found to be out upon the arrival of Fire Service personnel. No equipment in use.
