At 18:10 on Wednesday, 14 September, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Ludlow.

3 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Craven Arms and Ludlow. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews investigating cause of smoke within stairwell of block of flats - This incident was a false alarm caused by a fumigation smoke bomb being used within the property
