At 09:44 on Thursday, 3 November, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Telford.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Wellington.

This incident was a false alarm caused by a controlled burning - please call 01743 260290, if you are planning on having a bonfire.

Build bonfires well clear of buildings and never use flammable liquids to start the fire. Before you light the bonfire, check that children and animals are not hiding inside and are a safe distance away. Don't leave bonfires unattended. Don't light bonfires in unsuitable weather conditions.
