At 19:21 on Thursday, 8 December, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Chimney Fire in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform were mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Chimney rods

Fire in flue from woodburning stove. Ariel Ladder Platform used for access.
