At 12:27 on Thursday, 9 February, 2017, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Chimney Fire in Hodnet.

4 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform were mobilised from Hodnet and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Chimney rods
• Positive Pressure Ventilation
• Small gear
• Stirrup pump
