At 21:32 on Thursday, 11 May, 2017, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Battlefield Farm, Battlefield, Shrewsbury.

5 fire appliances were mobilised from Bridgnorth and Shrewsbury.

Call received to an agricultural building on fire. Incident was found to be a quantity of wood in the open which was extinguished by fire service personnel wearing breathing apparatus and using 2 main jets.
