At 08:59 on Friday, 12 May, 2017, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as SSC Urgent in Whitchurch.

3 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Shrewsbury, Wellington and Whitchurch. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service .

2 elderly persons rescued from empty lock using 9m ladder.
