At 19:58 on Friday, 30 June, 2017, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Cressage.

6 fire appliances including the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Much Wenlock, Shrewsbury and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Calf in river - thorough search of river made, no sign of calf.
