At 22:40 on Wednesday, 23 August, 2017, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire in Avenue Road South, Newport.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Newport, Telford Central and Wellington.

Fire involving cellar of dwelling house, 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets, thermal imaging camera and positive pressure ventilation fan used to locate and extinguish fire and ventilate property to clear smoke.
