At 21:28 on Saturday, 26 August, 2017, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Crumps Brook, Hopton Wafers.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Cleobury Mortimer.

Small fire involving gorse and undergrowth on fire on the Common, 1 hose reel jet and thermal imaging camera used to extinguish the fire and check for further hot spots.
