At 18:09 on Friday, 1 September, 2017, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Buckets of water
• Knapsacks

Fire involving half a tonne of baled hay alight in field. Knapsack and buckets of water in use to extinguish the fire.
