At 10:48 on Saturday, 9 September, 2017, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Chimney Fire in Ellesmere.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Ellesmere and Oswestry. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Small gear
• Thermal imaging camera

Chimney fire. Crews dealt with using thermal imaging camera and small gear.
