At 00:53 on Saturday, 23 September, 2017, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Field Of Straw.

1 fire appliance was mobilised.

Approximately 20 x 30 metres of baled hay alight in field. Hay is being allowed to burn away as its in the centre of a field with no risk of spreading. Crews will standby and monitor but no other Fire Service action has been taken
