At 18:20 on Wednesday, 3 January, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Chimney Fire in Newport.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Newport.

Chimney fire. Out on arrival of Fire Service. Crews using Thermal Imaging Camera to conduct thorough internal and external inspection.
