At 14:30 on Saturday, 30 June, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Shed Fire in road from Meeson to Cherrington, Newport .

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Newport and Wellington.

Fire involving large shed measuring approximately 10m x 6m. This fire had occured overnight and 1 hose reel jet was used by fire service personnel to ensure the fire was completely extinguished.
